Women for Women in Africa are an organisation set up in Melbourne in 2003 to help women and children struggling with extreme povity in the Kibera Slums of Kenya. Women in Kibera face a constant struggle to raise educate and feed their families.
Diamond Exchange is proud to lend its support to raise community awareness of their plight and provide funds to improve their lives.
WFWIA organised for one of the key missionaries, Sister Leonida to come out from Kibera. Sister Leonida works with other missionaries and the WFWIA to support the orphans in the slum. Her presence certainly helped with the success of the night in raising awareness of life in the Kibera slum.
All monies raised will go a long way to assist skills training and basic education of the children.
Diamond Exchange is delighted to be associated with WFWIA and congratulates all involved in the organisation of the event.
